Meeting of Fr. Gustavo with the laity in Argentina
After traveling among the various Vicariates of the Region, Fr. Gustavo Agín scj, Superior General, visited the community of San Juan Bautista, in Buenos Aires and met with some lay people representing the different groups involved in the different institutions of the Vicariate.

On December 3, in Yopougon, Mr Léon Kissi, brother of Fr Jean-Paul Kissi SCJ, of the community of formation of Adiapodoumé (Vicariate of Ivory Coast) passed away at the age of 53.
Presentation of certificates of merit at Barracas
Tuesday 14 December - Barracas. In the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, diplomas of recognition were delivered to all those who participated in the “Laborterapia” and “Talleres Del Sagrado” during this 2021.
Br. Antonio Thiago Gordiano Sampaio scj renews his vows
On Wednesday 15 December, during a Eucharistic celebration in the Chapel of the Regional Scholasticate of Belo Horizonte, Br. Antonio Thiago Gordiano Sampaio scj renewed for one year the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience in our religious family.
Perpetual profession of Br. Phanupan SCJ and Br. Phichet SCJ
On 23 December our brothers Br. Peter Phichet Wijunwayu SCJ and Br. Mathew Phanupan Shaichonsrijinda SCJ made their perpetual vows during the solemn concelebration that took place in the chapel of the “Ban Betharram” community in Chiang Mai.
Retreat day in the formation house of Adiapodoumé
Last Saturday 11 December the Community of Adiapodoumé met for a day of retreat in the season of Advent. The day of spiritual retreat began the day before with the prayer of compline, so as to enter even more into the time of Advent and to better prepare and welcome the coming of the Lord Jesus.
Br. Peter Hung SCJ and Br. Anselm Prapas SCJ instituted Readers
On 10 December our brothers Peter Hung SCJ and Anselm Prapas SCJ (both second year theology students) received the ministry of Reader at Saengtham College, the major seminary of the Diocese of Bangkok (Thailand).

The restoration of the first six stations of the Way of the Cross in Betharram
The restoration of the Calvary of Betharram proceeds little by little. A first part of the works was completed, which includes the first 6 stations and the fountain of Saint Roch.
Vicariate Assembly in Thailand
On 4th December, the religious of the Vicariate of Thailand held an assembly in Ban Betharram (Chiang Mai). The occasion for the assembly was offered by the traditional meeting of the priests of the Diocese of Chiang Mai with the Bishop.

On November 18, in Lambaré (Vicariate of Paraguay), the members of the FVD Group participated in a meeting with Fr. Gustavo Agín scj, Superior General, at the House of Spirituality "Our Lady of Betharram".
A special day at the Basilica of Saint Germaine of Pibrac
On November 14, in the Basilica of Sainte Germaine of Pibrac, during the Sunday Mass presided over by Fr. Vincent Landel SCJ (Bishop emeritus of Rabat - Morocco), Fr. Jean-Luc Morin SCJ, Regional Superior, conferred the ministry of rader to the scholastics Br Aurélien Kouamé SCJ and Br. Salomon Bandama SCJ (2nd year of theology at the Catholic Institute of Toulouse).

Conclusion of the month of the Rosary in the Sampran formation house
On 30 and 31 October, the Sampran formation community (Vicariate of Thailand) organized two days of retreat. On the evening of October 30, Fr. Enrico Frigerio SCJ, Regional Superior of the Region of St-Mary of Jesus Crucified, gave a reflection on Fr. Augusto Etchecopar.
Assembly of the Vicariate of France-Spain
The assembly of the religious of the Vicariate of France-Spain took place in Betharram on 25 and 26 October. The religious entered the synodal path by listening to each other to get to know each other better.

On October 31, in in the hospital of Saronno (Milan), at 3 am Fr Egidio Zoia has gone back to the Lord.
Beginning of the canonical visit of Fr. Gustavo to Brazil
Last week the canonical visit of the Superior General to the Ven. Fr. Augusto Etchecopar Region began by sharing the joy with the Vicariate of Brazil.

On Saturday, October 16, in the Sacred Heart Cathedral of Chiang Mai (Thailand), our deacons James Thanit Panmanikun scj and Peter Rawee Permpoonwicha scj were ordained priests by Mgr Francis Xavier Vira Armpondratana, Bishop of the Diocese of Chiang Mai.

Annual Retreat for the Religious of the Vicariate of England
The Religious of the Vicariate of England gathered at Shallowford House, the Retreat Centre for the Anglican Diocese of Litchfield for their Annual Retreat from Monday 4 October to Friday 8 October.

On the evening of 22 October, our Brother, Father Giulio Forloni SCJ, has returned to the Lord. Member of Monteporzio community (Vicariate of Italy), Father Giulio was 85 of age and 67 years of religious profession.
