3rd Regional Meeting of Community Superiors
From 16 to 19 of July, in the San Miguel College of Passa Quatro, the Superiors of the Communities of the Region Ven. Fr Auguste Etchécopar held the third session of formation.

On 24th December 2011 evening Betharram Hojai mission community together with the Parishoners of Shrine of Hail Redeemer which comprises of three villages, belong to three different tribes in Assam namely Karbi, Garro, Santhali celebrated Christmas Vigil mass.

Holy Land - Bethlehem
On December 25, the Nazareth community (Frs Damiano Colleoni, Gaston Hialé and Philippe Hourcade) joined the religious of Bethlehem and the Regional Superior (Frs. Pietro Felet, Henry Lamasse, Luigi Speziale and Jean-Luc Morin) to celebrate Christmas in the birthplace of Christ.
Italy - Rome
Friday, December 23rd , in a Theatre of Rome, the Marluc Association, set up an event in favour of our mission in Hojay (India).
Thailand - Ba-Pan-Poi
November 2011 - This year the whole Ban Garicoits community went to Ba-Pan-Poi (Northern Thailand) a mountain village, for their 8-day retreat.
France - Pau
This Tuesday, December 13, the second Tuesday of the month, the Little St Michael Choir took advantage of the monthly Mass to the Holy Spirit to organise his traditional Christmas Fayre in favour of the Bétharram missions.
Brazil - Belo Horizonte
On 5 December, six of the brothers of Nova Granada, Belo Horizonte, who are attending the third year of theology were instituted Lectors.

India - Mangalore
On December 6-13, the Maria Kripa Community (Mangalore) organised different events to prepare the celebration of Christmas. On December 6th the community celebrated the anticipated Christmas with the teachers and neighbouring communities.
England - Birmingham
On 3rd December the Christmas Fayre the Ss John and Martins Parish, run by the Betharramite Community, held the Christmas Fayre.

Italy - Pozzaglia Sabina
On Monday, December 12th, the Community of Monteporzio gathered in Pozzaglia Sabina (Rieti) for a recollection as a preparation for Christmas.

On 10th December the community of Shobhana Shaakha along with the members of the group Jesus Youth organized a small Christmas programme for the children.
Italy - Lissone
This year unlike in the past years - the Christmas missionary exhibition in the Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in Lissone, will open from 7 to 18 of December.

Mr. James Kelly, brother of Fr Tom Kelly, SCJ, Parish Priest of the Sacred Heart Parish in Droitwich, died in Ireland on December 1, 2011, at 87 years of age.
England - Birmingham
On Friday, November 25th the Parish community of Saint John the Evangelist and Saint Martin de Porres celebrated the 80th birthday of Fr Dominic Innamorati scj.

On November 26, Bro. Athit Niyomtham made his final vows in the hands of Fr Austin Hughes in Ban Betharram (Chiang Mai).

The Assembly of the Vicariate of France and Spain gathered on Monday, December 5 at Betharram, with about thirty religious present.

From November 28th to December 3rd, in the Maria Kripa community some meaningful events were set up.
Brazil - Passa Quatro
The Councillors of the Fr Etchecopar Region have been in office for some months now. The Superior General and his Council appointed Fr Javier Irala, the regional vicar of Paraguay, as first regional vicar and Fr Sergio Gouarnalusse as regional treasurer.
Argentine - Regional Novitiate
On December, 8th , at 8 p.m., the novices of the Region Fr. Augustus Etchecopar" Iran Lima da Silva, Maicon Faria Barbosa, Paulo Goncalves and Jeferson Roberto de Souza (from Brazil), will make the first vows of poverty, chastity and obedience in the city of Passa Quatro, Minas Gerais, Brazil,
Italy - Albiate
On Tuesday November 29th the Italian Vicariate gathered for an Assembly in Albiate (Milan).

On October 14th, the second years Novices, bros. Edwin, Vino and Justin went to the North East for their mission experience, for a period of 5 months.
Argentine - Barracas
On Tuesday November 22, five students of the Evening School of the Sacred Heart, from the outskirts of Barracas, lived a singular celebration. One of them received the Baptism, accompanied by his godfathers, family members, teachers and friends, after one years preparation.
France - Bétharram
From November 18 to 22 the first Regional Council of the Region St. Michael Garicoits, for the term 2011-2017 was held in Betharram.
Thailand - Ban Garicoits, Sampran
In September the flood caused by the heavy rains in Thailand causes a lot of disruption.
Ivory Coast - Adiapodoumé
Barely two months after the robbery suffered by the whole community in early September, Fr Laurent went through another attack, during the night of November 16th , at the Parish Priests house of St. Bernard.
