On 3rd December the Christmas Fayre the Ss John and Martins Parish, run by the Betharramite Community, held the Christmas Fayre.
This Fayre attracts a wide range of communities, religions and entertainers.
The aim is to bring the Parish together to raise funds; on this occasion for the new roof. People can buy a variety of goods; cakes, clothes, books, toys, antiques and bric a brac etc, and can enjoy a variety of ethnic foods and entertainment. Father Christmas appears in his cave for the infants. Besides the Parish 2 schools Ss John and Monica and St Martin de Porres are involved. Parents as well as people of all nationalities come from the locality.
Their children take part in the sale of goods and entertainment.
There are Indian, Reggae Carribbean, Sudanese and Irish dancers. All seemed to be enjoying themselves. Wishing you a happy and blessed Christmas.
