27 September - Luigi Locatelli, aged 98, father of Fr Alessandro Locatelli scj, member of the Community of Ponte a Elsa (Vicariate of Italy) has died at Caslino d’Erba (Como).

Going out to share... a new mission for the Vicariate of Thailand
On Saturday, September 28th, the parishioners of Fang witnessed a memorable event in the history of the Parish of the Epiphany, founded 46 years ago by the PIME Fathers: in the presence of Mgr Francis Xavier Vira Arpondratana, Bishop of Chiang Mai, the PIME fathers, after running it for 46 years, “handed it over” to the religious of Betharram: with a symbolic gesture, Fr. Maurizio Airoldi, superior of the PIME in Thailand entrusted this parish to Fr John Chan Kunu scj, Regional Vicar in Thailand.

Vocation meeting in the Vicariate of Brazil
On October 19 afternoon, in Conceição do Coité, in Bahia (in the northeast of Brazil), a vocational meeting of the Vicariate of Brazil took place.

Yesterday, 28 October, at 8.00 pm, Fr. Eugène Lhouerrou (from the community of "Maison Neuve", Betharram) returned to the Father's house. He was 97 years old and 73 years of religious life.
In memoriam...
Mrs. Ornella Corno, a lay betharramite died in the afternoon of Tuesday 29th October due to a serious illness that had struck her s few months ago. She was a person totally dedicated to the missionary promotion activities. She is also a cousin of Fr. Tiziano Pozzi SCJ of the community of Niem and the Regional Vicar in Central Africa.
A retreat ... on the way!
The church in Thailand celebrates it's 350th Anniversary of the beginning of the evangelization of the Catholic Mission of Siam. At the same time, the Vicariate of Thailand celebrates it's 68 years of presence in the Asian Country. This celebration is held from 20 till 26 October 2019 & it is led by Rev. Fr. John Chan Kunu SCJ, the Regional Vicar in Thailand. They celebrate it by making the annual retreat by walking in the footsteps of the first missionaries.

Betharram, On 28th October 2019 - Our brothers of the different communities of Pibrac, St. Palais, Mendelu, Pau and our Lady of Betharram gathered to live a day of fraternity, to share the life and the mission entrusted to each community and to discern the future.
Final profession of Br. Hyppolite Yomafou SCJ
On Friday, 1 November, on the Solemnity of All the Saints, Br. Hyppolite SCJ made his final profession in the hands of Fr. Jean-Dominique Delgue SCJ, Vicar General, in the parish of Saint Bernard of Adiapodoumé. He was accompanied by his religious brothers, his family and his friends from different places.
