In the year of the 150th anniversary of "life with God" of St Michael Garicoïts, another anniversary links Bethlehem with Betharram: the 30th anniversary of the beatification of Mariam Baouardy, Sister Mary of Jesus Crucified, by Pope John Paul II on November 13th, 1983.

On the 26th of February, 2024, with immense joy and gratitude, we celebrated the blessed inauguration of our Betharram Sacred Heart Church in Simaluguri, Assam.

From July 15 to 16, the ELAB (Latin American Betharramite Meeting) was held in San Bernardino (Paraguay). Religious and laypeople from Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay took part in the event. The meeting, in which the Superior General, Fr. Gustavo Agín SCJ, also took part, was held in a fraternal atmosphere to deepen the Betharramite charism and share life.

On Sunday, September 8, in the parish of St. Bernard in Adiapodoumé, Fr. Agniman Assanvo Emmanuel SCJ, Fr. N’Cho Akpa Hyacinthe SCJ and Fr. Djiraud Jean-Claude SCJ were ordained priests in a solemn and joyful celebration, presiede by Mgr. Jean Salomon Lezoutié, Bishop of Yopougon.

On Saturday the 30th of September, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Pierbattista Pizzaballa, was created Cardinal by Pope Francis in the public consistory celebrated in St. Peter's Square.
