Priestly ordination of Br. Agniman Assanvo Emmanuel SCJ, Br. N’Cho Akpa Hyacinthe SCJ and Br. Djiraud Jean-Claude SCJ
On Sunday, September 8, in the parish of St. Bernard in Adiapodoumé, Fr. Agniman Assanvo Emmanuel SCJ, Fr. N’Cho Akpa Hyacinthe SCJ and Fr. Djiraud Jean-Claude SCJ were ordained priests in a solemn and joyful celebration, presiede by Mgr. Jean Salomon Lezoutié, Bishop of Yopougon.
The three newly ordained priests concelebrated their first Eucharist with the Betharramites of the Vicariate of the Ivory Coast, along with the Superior General, Fr. Gustavo Agín SCJ (on a canonical visit) and the Regional Superior, Fr. Simone Panzeri SCJ, as well as with several guest priests.
Voices were raised to praise the Lord with beautiful songs, prayers and offerings, following the local tradition. During the laying on of hands all experienced moments of deep emotion. We thank the Lord who gives us more missionaries for Betharram.
They will be sent to three Vicariates of the Region: the Vicariate of Italy, the Vicariate of France and Spain and the Vicariate of the Ivory Coast.
Let us pray that they may be Shepherds according to the Heart of Jesus, in the footsteps of our Founder.
