Blessed for 30 years
In the year of the 150th anniversary of "life with God" of St Michael Garicoïts, another anniversary links Bethlehem with Betharram: the 30th anniversary of the beatification of Mariam Baouardy, Sister Mary of Jesus Crucified, by Pope John Paul II on November 13th, 1983.
To celebrate this event, on November 13 at 17.00, Mons Michel Sabbah, Patriarch Emeritus of Jerusalem, celebrated the Mass at the Carmel where the “little sister" died.
Fr Pierre Grech, former Superior General , Fr Henri Lamasse, Superior of the community, Fr Luigi Speziale, chaplain of the Carmel, Fr Jean-Luc Morin, Regional Superior and two priests from Lodi (Italy) were also present.
We are grateful to the Carmelite Sisters of Bethlehem for making this time od thanksgiving and reunion possible!
