Listening to St Michael...

It is terrible to see how all authority is ripped apart everywhere; and the highest authority is perhaps the worst treated: countries and individuals take pleasure in attacking it from all angles. In this diocese when I see how the priests above all treat their bishop, I only see complaints, disapproval, slander and above all calumny. Are we, who make a special vow of obedience to His Lordship, going to allow ourselves to be swept along by this worldly spirit which is nothing short of devilish? Are we going to err against our vocation? For the thought of outweighing such guilty conduct to make up to the Bishop for this type of trouble, has greatly contributed to the creation of this society.
