Retreat day in the formation house of Adiapodoumé
Last Saturday 11 December the Community of Adiapodoumé met for a day of retreat in the season of Advent. The day of spiritual retreat began the day before with the prayer of compline, so as to enter even more into the time of Advent and to better prepare and welcome the coming of the Lord Jesus.
The day of 11 December then began with the prayer of praises, followed by a reflection dictated by Fr. Armel Daly SCJ.
The theme of sharing was the following: “Advent: a journey of love to live as brothers and to form a living and dynamic community”. In exposing him, Fr. Armel invited the community to transform differences into resources for the community, so that it becomes a true place of fraternity.
He also invited us to move from a simple intention to action, because fraternity is built with small gestures, and to try to discover in our brother the Christ who brings us together.
At the end of the reflection, Fr. Jean-Luc Morin SCJ (Regional Superior) read and commented on a letter from Fr. Echecopar in the light of the experience of the formation community.
The day ended with the Eucharistic concelebration, always presided over by Fr. Jean-Luc.
