Listening to Saint Michael...
Plato saw in all created objects a reflection of eternal light, an imperfect image of him who is before all else. He compares them to shadows that a man sees in the depths of a cave, but who cannot see the realities that pass before the entrance behind him. Plato who because of his wisdom was nicknamed the theologian, could not imagine facing the sun of total truth. But a child, after the coming of the Saviour, contemplates Him at leisure, speaks to Him, and is spoken to by Him.
If Theologian Plato returned to the world he would kiss the feet of even a little Christian beggar, he would be ecstatic before him, and he would listen to him as if an oracle.
