Listening to St Michael...
During a theology class, he read us a letter in which a priest of the diocese of Tarbes told him of a resolution he had made: he had to declare that day to his 82-year-old mother that he was going to leave to enter the order of Father Muard. Ten years ago he had thought of entering a religious institute and had always postponed it. At last, he said, I have made a decision, and I am going to open my mind to my mother, and then I shall go. Since I took a stand, I feel a great joy… The Superior added that great consolations always follow such major resolutions. This he had (noticed) in others and experienced in himself; he concluded by saying that one should not be dilatory.
