The visit of the Superior General to the Central African Vicariate is over.
On 14 November, the Superior General, Fr. Gustavo Agín SCJ, concluded his canonical visit to the Vicariate of the Central African Republic. The Vicariate of the Central African Republic, a “periphery among peripheries”, has an extensive field of mission for the Betharramites who arrive out there and are willing to put their lives at the service of the poorest.
After the visit to the three communities, Bimbo (Bangui), Bouar and Niem, the final assembly of the Vicariate, in which all the religious participated, took place on 13 November, at the community “St. Michael Garicoïts” in Bouar.
At the assembly, we shared our reasons for hope and the challenges for the years to come. Betharram in the Central African Republic is like a fragile child growing up under the watchful eye of missionaries, witnesses to the Kingdom.
