Spiritual Retreat for a small group of Betharramite religious in Italy
From March 16 to 21, a small group of Betharramite religious, together with other priests, joined a session of spiritual retreat at the Santa Croce Monastery at Bocca di Magra (SP), run by the Discalced Carmelite Fathers.
The retreat was led by Monsignor Giancarlo Bregantini, emeritus bishop of Campobasso-Boiano, a well-known voice in the context of the Italian Church, especially during his ministry as bishop in the Locride region. The theme of the spiritual exercises was "The story of Joseph sold by his brothers, an experience of Jubilee."
Monsignor Bregantini contextualised the story of Joseph, interpreting it within the framework of the Italian Church and society today, highlighting various aspects related to the priestly ministry and the theme of the Jubilee, pilgrims of hope.
Everyone appreciated not only the depth of his reflections but also the sharing of his experiences during his ministry in the Locride region.
