“Dear Betharramites: As the 2023 General Chapter begins in Chiang Mai, we share with the entire religious and lay family of Betharram this desire to walk together with the People of God.
The Church today presents us with its missionary challenges, which we cannot ignore. The healing of Creation, the comprehensive care of children and minors, a more prophetic religious life, being artisans of Peace, being welcoming to those who wander through this world under the yoke of forced migration or exclusion, etc.
Will we Betharramites be capable of assuming these challenges, or do we continue to lament as the disciples of Emmaus did before recognizing Christ in the breaking of the Bread?” (Fr Gustavo Agín SCJ)
