Two scholastics are ordained deacons
On the morning of June 25, the bishop of Chiang Rai, Mgr Joseph Vuthilert Haelom, ordained two Betharramites, Br Phanupan SCJ and Br Pichet SCJ, and a religious of the Identes Congregation as deacons.
The concelebration, presided over by the bishop, was attended by numerous religious and priests from the diocese of Chiang Mai. For this occasion, many faithful from the parishes and centers run by the Betharramites flocked to the cathedral to participate in the solemn rite of ordination.
The day before the ordination, Fr Gustavo and Fr Enrico went to to pray at the tomb of the Betharramite missionaries who died in Thailand and buried in the Chiang Mai cemetery.
