News from Betharram Formation House, Mangalore
The community of the Betharramite Formation House in Mangalore celebrated the thanksgiving mass of our newly ordained priest Fr. Akhil Joseph scj on January 28th. The celebration began with a thanksgiving Eucharist presided over by Fr. Akhil Joseph himself.
The Regional Superior, Fr Enrico Frigerio scj, the Regional Vicar, Fr Arul Gnana Prakash scj, the Master of Scholastics, Fr Vipin Joseph Chirammel scj and the Seminary Professor Fr Milton Jacob concelebrated with Fr. Akhil.
Also present were benefactors, teachers, sisters of neighboring communities and lay faithful.
After the celebration of the Eucharist, the feast in honor of Fr. Akhil began with a very rich program.
On January 29, two of our brothers, Br. Stephen R. and Br. Alwyn Crasta, were instituted, respectively, Acolyte and Lector. The ministries were conferred by Fr. Enrico Frigerio scj, Regional Superior.
