Vicariate Assembly and conclusion of the canonical visit
At the end of the canonical visit to the Vicariate of Ivory Coast, Fr Gustavo Agín SCJ, Superior General, participated in the Assembly of the Vicariate of the Ivory Coast which was held from 22 to 23 September in the community of Dabakala.
The assembly began on 21 September with the arrival of all the religious from the various communities. The day after, the questionnaire kicked off the sharing. In the afternoon, the reports prepared by the commissions were read out and new projects for the year 2020-2021 were taken into consideration.
The following day, 23 September, Fr. Valentin N’Zoré SCJ, Bursar of the Vicariate, presented the financial report. Fr Théophile Dégni N’Guessan SCJ, Regional Vicar, presented a review of the current year.
At the end of the discussions, the Superior General took the floor to share with the religious of the Vicariate his experience during his second official visit as Superior General of the Congregation. He spent words of encouragement for the religious and invited them to take further steps to build a greater fraternity ...
In the afternoon of 23 September a Vicariate Council was held as a conclusion of the Assembly.
Finally, on Thursday 24, the religious went back to their respective communities to continue their mission.
