Canonical visit of the Superior General to the Vicariate of the Holy Land
Fr. Gustavo Agín SCJ, Superior General, began his official visits to Region of St. Michael Garicoïts from the Vicariate of the Holy Land (1- 12 February).
During his stay he participated in various ecclesial meetings:
a) The day of Consecrated Life he concelebrated the solemn Eucharist with the Apostolic Nuncio, together with other priests and many religious, in Saint Peter in Gallicantu.
b) He had a meeting with the Apostolic Administrator of the Patriarchate and the bishops, who had been formed by the Betharramites in Bet Jala.
c) He had a personal dialogue with each religious and chaired the final assembly.
The life of the communities, today made up of five religious, has regained enthusiasm considering the projects for this year and for next year...
Fr. Firmin Bourguinat SCJ celebrated his 84 years and the community, together with the Regional Council that was present for their meeting, threw a simple party.
In addition, the Vicariate welcomed the new missionary, Fr Yesudas Kuttappassery SCJ, who joined the Betharramite group in the land of Jesus.
