Significant event for the Vicariate of India

Rev. Fr. Enrico Frigerio SCJ, The Regional Superior of St. Miriam Region, visited Betharram Formation House, Mangalore, from 28th January 2020 to 30th January 2020. As part of his visitation, there was a monthly recollection in the community. During the homily Fr. Enrico SCJ mainly emphasized on the theme “Going out of oneself: the first requisite for going on mission.” He encouraged everyone in the community to go forward as a community for mission that is entrusted to us. One must cultivate his own interest and desire in rendering the service to the church.

Significant event for the Vicariate of India

On 29th January 2020 Rev. Fr. Enrico Frigerio SCJ administered the Institute of Lector. Three Scholastics Viz; Br. Packiaraj Krush Michael, Br. Sagayaraj Avinash and Br. Pobitro Minj received the order of lector in the presence of Rev. Fr. Arul SCJ Regional Vicar, Rev. Fr. Vipin SCJ Scholastic Master. During the homily Fr. Enrico SCJ spoke about the importance of the Ministry of Lector, it is a service, not for oneself, but for others and he stressed on three main points that is one must ‘Prepare,’ ‘Listen’ and ‘Pray.’  By preparing, listening and praying we become another Christ for the faithful. He encouraged the candidates to commit oneself to God and He will take care of everything. During this celebration our teachers, benefactors and well wishers were also present.
