Overview of the the 7th ELAB held in Paraguay.
On July 11, the seventh edition of the ELAB (Latin-American Betharramite Meeting) ended at the "Sacred Heart" retreat house in San Bernardino (Paraguay).
The program was very intense, for both the topics tackled (the charism, community life and mission) and shared between laity and religious, and for the dynamics and participation of all.
The laity and the religious were involved in the preparation and in the organization of the meeting. The topics were developed in a very creative way: the charism was presented starting from the prayers proposed by Fr Francisco Daleoso SCJ and by a consecrated lay person (Maria Eugenia). The topic of Community life was addressed by Fr Rodolfo Capalozza (Pallottino), and it was based on a recent document of the Magisterium. Fr Rodolfo prompted us to identify our own community life style.
The collaborative style of the mission was presented by Fr Juan Pablo García Martínez SCJ and Claudia (coordinator of the education department of the Vicariate colleges) in a very creative way through a game in which everyone was involved.
The atmosphere of participation and sincere sharing between Betharramite religious and lay people was very positive.
We are sure that this ELAB will be an important reference for the future activities of the Region.
