Fr. Mario Zappa scj inaugurates a new church on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his priestly ordination
On Sunday 10 March, the village of Yangba, 40 km from the town of Boaur, decked out for the inauguration of the new church.
The village is part of "Notre Dame de Fatima" parish. The celebration was presided over by Fr. Mario Zappa scj, who has been in Central Africa for many years and wished to inaugurate this chapel as a gift of his 50th anniversary of priestly ordination.
All the people of the village and also of some nearby villages joined this event.
Fr. Mario took this opportunity to express his gratitude to all those who are close to the mission and to the people he meets and ministers every day.
