Consecration of a new Church dedicated to Our Lady of Betharram
On March 15-17, Fr. Gustavo visited the community of Huay Tong. On this occasion, Fr Gustavo and Fr Enrico could appreciate the missionary activity carried out by the community, and participated in the blessing of a new Church located in the village of Mae Hae. This is the first Church in Thailand dedicated to Our Lady of Betharram and was consecrated by the Bishop of the Diocese of Chiang Mai, Mgr. Francis Xavier Vira Arpondratana.
The new Church, built thanks to the help and support of various benefactors in Bangkok, was enriched by the frescoes of Fr. Thinakorn Martin de Tours Damrongusasin scj.
Many Betharramites attended this event along with religious sisters, diocesan and religious priests as well as many faithful from the nearby villages.
At the end of the ceremony, Fr. Enrico narrated the origins of the devotion to Our Lady of Betharram and encouraged the faithful to always turn to her in their needs.
