Ad limina visit of the Bishops of Paraguay
Last week, Pope Francis received the Bishops of Paraguay for the ad limina visit. The meetings took place in the "Santa Marta" House. Our brother, Mgr Ignacio Gogorza scj, was also present and shared with the other Bishops of Paraguay this fruitful, serene and fraternal gathering. “The style of the visit has changed - he said. There is more sharing now.”
“The Holy Father dedicates less time to his speech and more time to listen to the questions, to tackle the various issues and to share the positive signs and hopes of the local Churches.”
At the conclusion of the meetings, on November 11, the Bishops paid a visit to the Pope emeritus Benedict XVI, who is still lucid and serene.
The Bishop Claudio Silvero scj, who was unable to attend the visit, was well represented by the guaraní episcopate who returned to Paraguay strengthened (mbarete kuera) by this visit to continue serving their brothers.
