Beginning of Lent in the Parish of St. Michael Garicoits in Mendelu

The children performed a short stage play to highlight the importance of Lent as a time for preparing the heart to celebrate Easter. They used the example of the recycling process; just as the waste is processed and transformed, so are our hearts transformed by God.

Finally they built a purple cross, on which each Sunday they will represent the different situations lived by Jesus according to the Sunday Gospel.
