Fr Joseph Ruspil SCJ and Fr Tobia Sosio SCJ (who guided the course of spiritual exercises for the religious of the Vicariate) celebrated his 50th anniversary of religious profession.

Anniversaries of priestly ordination were also celebrated:

60 years for Fr Gabriel Verley SCJ;

50 years for Fr Firmin Bourguinat SCJ and Fr. Jean Couret SCJ (the latter on a wheelchair).

Fr Tobia Sosio presided the Eucharistic celebration. Fr. Firmin Bourguinat, in his homily, invited all the assembly to thank the Holy Spirit in a special way for the life of the jubilarians.

He then had a special word, full of affection, for Fr Jean Couret SCJ, his companion of ordination, who has now lost the power of speech. Fr Firmin reminded the assembly that in the past Fr Jean Couret had worked hard in the "suburbs" of the Church and in a special way with the working class, with the immigrants in the outskirts of Bordeaux.

After lunch, the day ended with the celebration of Vespers.
