Public veneration of the relics of our Founder Saint Michael Garicoits
The Community of Shobhana Shaakha (Bangalore), after receiving the relics of our Founder Saint Michael Garicoits, from Rome, carried them in different communities to expose them for public veneration and to make the spirituality of our Founder known among the people.
These are the places where the relics were welcomed and venerated. The Generalate of the Apostolic Carmel: the superior general welcomed a delegation of Betharram Religious and together they prayed in front of the relics. Then the Monfort Brothers - who run a school near the city - invited the Betharram Community to have a prayer session with the relics: all the students attended the service and were eager to know about Saint Michael. It was then the turn of the Holy Family Parish: all the faithful came for a blessing. More recently the parishioners of Saint Antony Parish - where Shobhana Shaakha is situated - flocked to the church to pray Saint Michael with all the brothers and fathers of Shobhana Shaakha.
