Inauguration of the chapel of the new seminary betharramite in Mangalore (India)

The Jubilee celebration at Maria Kripa started on 5th May morning, soon after the solemn prayer service and flag hosting by Rev. Fr. Austin Hughes SCJ. It was indeed a historical moment for Maria Kripa Community as our renovated chapel  was blessed and dedicated to The Most Sacred Heart of  Jesus by His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D'Souza, Bishop of Mangalore. It took place on the occasion of our 150th Jubilee Celebration. The Celebration of Holy Eucharist was presided over by Most Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D'Souza, Bishop of Mangalore, V. Rev. Fr. Austin Hughes SCJ, Regional Superior, and  Rev. Fr. Biju Alappat SCJ, Vicar Superior along with all other clergies.
The chapel history dates back to 1961.  The age old chapel was renovated with the help of many generous hearts and we  congratulated and felicitated them on this occasion. We felicitated  Most Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D'Souza - our bishop, V. Rev. Sr. Agatha Mary AC- Superior General of Apostolic Carmel, Mr. Peter & Paul Mascarenhas - Engineer and Architect, on this occasion and we were enriched and delighted with their Jubilee messages.
We had cultural events and fellowship meal thereafter.
