Assignment of the religious and the priest in charge of the Parish of Adiapodoumé and beginning of the new pastoral year
Sunday, October 19, Rev. Camille N'DRIN, Vicar General of the Diocese of Yopougon, was welcomed in the Parish of St. Bernard of Adiapodoume for the inauguration of the pastoral activities of our brothers and of the priest in charge of the parish.
Fathers Sylvain Dansou SCJ, Hyacinthe Ali Konan SCJ and Emmanuel Congo Winonga SCJ are taking the pastoral care of the parish. Father Sylvain is the moderator.
In his homily, Father Camille invited the Christian community to love and respect their pastors. He also asked the priests to take care of the people of God entrusted to them. Fr Sylvain, superior of the formation house of Adiapoumé and priest in charge of the parish, in his closing speech, thanked the vicar general personally and on behalf of his brothers for acting on behalf of the Bishop.
The following Sunday, October 26, the parish celebrated the opening of the pastoral year. All parishioners were celebrating with their new priests. Father Sylvain took the opportunity to invite all the faithful to love their parish and to take care of its growth. He shared the pastoral guidelines whose main objective is to keep the parishioners united among themselves and with their priests. This is in line with the theme of the pastoral care of the diocese, "Catechesis and Basic Christian Communities (BCC), places of the new evangelization.”
This unity will be effective thanks to the presence of the religious and of Fr. Vincent in the Basic Christian Communities (BCC) at their weekly meetings. Adding to that, a bimonthly general catechesis in the parish church is planned and it will led by a priest who will try to awaken those Christians who are still lukewarm. Fathers are determined to continue the work of Fr Laurent, who was their formator.
Good luck to all, and always ahead with the grace of God!
