Ivory Coast - Yamoussoukro
Sunday, March 11th, a pilgrimage of the city parishes was held in Yamoussoukro (Ivory Coast). The Parish of St. Felix took part with its 6 CEBs (Basic Ecclesial Communities). They joined the other sixty CEBs and an assembly of 6000 worshipers to celebrate the Eucharist, presided over by Mons Marcellin, Bishop of the Diocese of Yamoussoukro.
During the same days Fr. Jean-Luc Morin, Regional Superior, Fr Joseph Saint-Pé, Regional Bursar and Fr. Hervé Kouamé, Regional Vicar for Ivory Coast were making the canonical visit.
The first part of the pilgrimage consisted of a silent and prayerful march adn the pilgrims were asked to answer the following questions:
As Christians have we played a vital role in our country's situation?
Have we been found wanting in our duty vis-à-vis the society, the family, the Church?
What do we propose in order to make amend for the evil and improve this situation?
During Lent, what steps do we take to show attention to our neighbour?
