Beyond all our limitations and barriers, all our failures and mistakes, beyond our fear and worries ... there is the Love of God. This is the great proclamation of todays Gospel! Trusting God, putting our hope in Him this means to open our graves, to let fresh air into the dark rooms where, in our hearts, we keep our failures, our weaknesses, our fears ... everything we call "mission impossible." God wants to bring the light of His love into our life where it is more fragile, weaker and more vulnerable. The episode of the resurrection of Lazarus allows us to experience how great is the Lord's love for his "beloved friends; this episode makes us understand that His love is beyond our understanding and our power: He surprises us with an exceptional, wonderful and amazing action! This opens our heart to hope: if his love touches my life, this will have a goal, a steady direction towards eternity that my soul longs so deeply. But, do we really believe that He alone is the Resurrection and the Life? Or do we cling to something else, to some idols making us believe that they are "the resurrection and the life" but in reality crushing our existence under the slavery of money, appearance, power and greed ...? Let us be on our guard that our hearts belong to the True Love, that makes us free and does not ask anything in return - it's free: this Love just asks us to open the tomb where we have locked up our lives and to let Him love us!
