On July 17, young people from Paraguay, Argentina and Italy (pictures show how tired they are because of the long journey) officially inaugurated the World Youth Days. Other young people from France, will join the group on July 18 in the evening.

On 17 July 2013, Mrs Alphonsine, the mother of Fr Hervé Kouamé Kouakou scj, Regional Vicar of the Ivory Coast, has gone to the Lord, after a long illness.

Last week, Pope Francis received the Bishops of Paraguay for the ad limina visit. The meetings took place in the "Santa Marta" House. Our brother, Mgr Ignacio Gogorza scj, was also present and shared with the other Bishops of Paraguay this fruitful, serene and fraternal gathering. “The style of the visit has changed - he said. There is more sharing now.”

On April 13 and 14, the formation community of Mangalore (India) welcomed Fr. Enrico Frigerio SCJ, Regional Superior of the Region “St. Mary of Jesus Crucified" who is visiting the Vicariate of India.

On July 8, in the Betharramite community of Albiate, during a solemn Eucharistic concelebration, many religious of the Vicariate of Italy celebrated different jubilees of priestly ordination and religious profession.

Sunday, February 16th, Bishop Francis Xavier Veera Arpondratana went to Pong Smythe to bless a new Church and to celebrate the Eucharist there..

At Olton we celebrated a mass for the dead of the parish in our cemetery (which houses about 6,000 bodies).

On Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 March, the religious of the Vicariate of Paraguay gathered in Lambaré at the retreat house of "Our Lady of Betharram" for their Assembly.  16 religious were present under the guidance of the Regional Superior, Fr Gustavo Agin sCJ.
