Official opening of the WYD

On July 17, young people from Paraguay, Argentina and Italy (pictures show how tired they are because of the long journey) officially inaugurated the World Youth Days. Other young people from France, will join the group on July 18 in the evening.

The agenda will include periods to get to know each other better and to share their missionary experience. In the early afternoon of July 17, these young people took to the streets of the parish entrusted to the Betharramites in Paulinia and explained to all the families the meaning of the WYD and what they expect from this event.

In a joyful atmosphere, the young people were warmly welcomed by the religious community and by the parishioners who went out of their way to make them feel at home
