Ad multos annos!
On July 8, in the Betharramite community of Albiate, during a solemn Eucharistic concelebration, many religious of the Vicariate of Italy celebrated different jubilees of priestly ordination and religious profession.
The 65th anniversary of priestly ordination of Fr Andrea Antonini (the dean of the Vicariate of Italy) was of great significance. Other jubilees were also celebrated: the 60th anniversary of priestly ordination of Fr Celeste Perlini and Fr Egidio Zoia; the 50th anniversary of priestly ordination of Fr Ennio Bianchi, Fr Luigi Speziale, Fr Mario Zappa, Fr Arialdo Urbani and Fr Alberto Pensa.
Among the jubilarians we find Fr Davide Villa and Fr Franco Cesana, who celebrated respectively the 65th and 60th anniversary of religious profession.
The Superior General, Fr Gaspar Fernández Pérez SCJ, sent his well-wishing message: «(...) While you are gathered around the Eucharistic table, I say to each of you" thank you!” for keeping the charism of St. Michael Garicoits alive through your witness; "thank you!" for who you are and for what you do for Betharram; "thank you!" for renewing your "here I am" every day of your priestly and religious life (…).»
