On March 24-25, the third meeting of “Animation and Leadership” took place  in Barracas. For two and a half days 50 Argentinian young people worked on the skills of renewing their own life in order to be able to help others.

On Maundy Thursday, 100 young people gathered at the Sacred Heart College of Barracas from 10.30 pm until 6.00 am of the Holy Friday, to celebrate the Youth Easter.

Tuesday, August 7, the feast of Saint Cajetan, a group of pupils of the 3rd , 4th  and 5th  year of the "Sacred Heart College", were called to put themselves at the deposal of the pilgrims.

On August 20th, after making his final vows in Brazil, his native country, Br Francisco de Assis do Santos joined his new community in Barracas, engaged in educational ministry.

Saturday  September 1st  -  An important event called “the Great Celebration of the Life” took place in Barracas. Pupils, youths and teachers of the San José of Buenos Aires and Sagrado Corazón of Barracas took part in it.

Sunday 30 September - A Parish retreat was organised in the Sacred Heart Parish of Barracas.

At the Institute Sacred Heart of Barracas, the year of faith started also for the youngest children with great ceremony: two little girls from the infant school, accompanied by one of the godmothers, received the sacrament of the baptism.

On Saturday, November 3rd , hundreds of people (students, teachers, young people and betharramite families), met in the  “Hermitage of Life”, in the Villa (Slum) 21 in Barracas, to celebrate life.

From the 9 to the 11 of November, the Young people of the Sacred Heart of Barracas organized their annual camping at San Clemente of the Tuyú, on the coastal area of the Argentinian Sea.

December 11th was a red-letter day in the Kindergarten of the Sacred Heart College of Barracas. Miss Patricia, a grade 4th teacher, received her first holy communion!
