Notice from the General Council concerning the session of on-going formation

As for the session of ongoing formation scheduled for the summer 2015, the General Council brings your attention to the following:

• The commission set up for this purpose in 2012, after holding two meetings (January 2013 and January 2014) had mapped out a detailed programme with a long term preparation starting from Easter 2014 where the religious concerned had to play a very important role.
• Since, for various reasons, we could not make a complete list of the participants, we could not go ahead with the preparation planned by the commission.
• On account of all this, the Superior General, along with his Council, after consulting the members of the commission, has decided to postpone the session to the summer 2016.
• The Regional Superiors are going to receive a letter requesting them to send the final list of the participants by January 15, 2015. Then we will proceed with the preparation programme planned by the commission.
• Those who have already made themselves available for the session have already been informed that the session will be held not in 2015, but in 2016.

Other decisions & notices from the Superior General and his Council

In the meeting of the General Council on October 8 & 9, 2014, the Superior General, with the consent of his Council, conceded to the temporary professed Br. Firmin N’Gouilé of the Republic of Central Africa Vicariate the indult of departure from the Congregation.

On October 2014, the Superior General received from the Congregation of the Institutes of Religious Life and Societies of Apostolic Life the indult of departure conceded to the fully professed religious and priest Fr. Firmin Worou Ogougbé. Fr Firmin will be incardinated into the Diocese of Odienné (Ivory Coast). We wish him a joyful minister at the service of the people of God.
