Religious in community
Gathered usually in small communities of three or four members, the Religious of Betharram exist first and foremost to try to fulfil the ideals of a fraternal life in prayer and sharing. We are "active religious", undertaking a wide range of activities to help further the mission of the Church and the Kingdom of God.

We are "active religious", undertaking a wide range of activities to help further the mission of the Church and the Kingdom of God.
The settlement in the 14 countries where we are present took place as a response to appeals from local Churches, but it was also due to historical circumstances such as the expulsion or Religious from France in 1905.
Today our communities are in:
- Europe: 7 communities in France; 14 in Italy; 4 in Great Britain; 1 in Spain.
- Latin America: 6 communities in Argentina and Uruguay; 6 in Brazil; 6 in Paraguay.
- Africa: 3 communities in the Ivory Coast; 1 in the Central African Republic.
- Asia: 3 communities in the Holy Land (Israel, Palestine, Jordan), 6 in Thailand and 2 in India.
