Since March 2014 l lived with Father Gerard Badie in Villa Betharram. During that time Fr Badie, suffering from all kinds of pains and internal upsets was convinced that he would not live to see 90. According to him he had lived long enough and never thought that he would reach such an age. For him the rejoicing was over. He was just waiting for the moment to leave as soon as his Heavenly Father would so order! He was ready. But "man's thoughts are not the thoughts of God".
