From 25 to 27 October, on the 800th anniversary of the stigmata of Saint Francis of Assisi, the relic of his Holy Blood made a stop in Pistoia, in Saint Francis parish entrusted to the care of the religious of our Congregation.
Brought by fra Francesco from the shrine of La Verna (Tuscany), the place where Saint Francis received his stigmata, the relic has been set up in the church of Pistoia for prayer and for the veneration of the faithful, young and old alike.
Saturday, October 26, the Mass at 10.30 was the occasion for a Betharramite concelebration presided over by the Superior General, Fr. Gustavo Agín SCJ, together with Fr. Graziano Sala SCJ, Bursar and Secretary General and the brothers of the community of Pistoia and Ponte an Elsa.
On Sunday, 27 October, the concluding celebration of the three days of prayer was presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese, Mgr. Fausto Tardelli, who blessed the town with the relic.
