R.I.P.
February, 15 - Early this morning Fr Carlo Luzzi SCJ, of the Chiang Mai Community, returned to the Lord. Aged 89, he has been for 72 years in religious life. Thus writes Fr. Wilfred Pereppadan SCJ, Regional Superior of the St. Miriam of Jesus Crucified Region:
“It is with deep sadness that I inform you of the passing of Fr. Carlo Luzzi in the early hours at 01.20 am in the Rajchavet hospital at Chiangmai on February 17, 2024. He died peacefully at the hospital. Let us come together in mourning and pray for the departed soul of Fr. Luzzi. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Vicariate of Thailand as they mourn the loss of one of the early missionaries of Betharram in Thailand. May his soul find eternal rest in peace. "Eternal rest grant unto him and let perpetual light shine upon him.”
