Ordination to the Diaconate of Br. Salomon SCJ and Br. Aurélien SCJ
“Beti aintzina. Always forward!” It is with the well-known motto of Saint Michael Garicoïts quoted by Fr. Jean-Marie Ruspil SCJ, Regional Vicar in France and Spain, that the celebration of the ordinations to the Diaconate of two young brothers concluded on January 12, 2025, in the church of Saint-Palais: Br. Salomon Bandama SCJ and Br. Aurélien Emeric Brou Kouamé SCJ.
The celebration was presided over by Mgr. Marc Aillet, Bishop of Bayonne, in the presence of Fr. Simone Panzeri SCJ, Regional Superior of the Saint Michael Garicoïts Region. Several Betharramite religious also concelebrated, as well as the Parish Priest of Saint-Jacques from the Mixe & Saint-Palais area and priests of the diocese of Bayonne. Numerous friends of the ordinands took part in the solemn ceremony.
Br. Salomon will live his ministry in the community of Mendelu (Spain), while Br. Aurélien will join the community of Saint-Palais.
