Diaconal ordination of Br. Oscar Mendoza SCJ
On Saturday, November 30, feast day of Saint Andrew, the Apostle, Br. Oscar Mendoza SCJ was ordained a deacon in St Francis Xavier parish in La Colmena.
The celebration was presided by Mgr. Ignacio Gogorza SCJ, Bishop emeritus of Encarnación, with Mgr. Celestino Ocampo, Bishop of Carapegua (diocese to which the parish belongs) and with Mgr. Claudio Silvero SCJ, auxiliary bishop emeritus of Encarnación. The concelebration was also attended by Fr. Davi Lara SCJ, Regional Superior of the Fr Auguste Etchecopar Region, Fr. Alberto Zaracho SCJ, Regional Vicar in Paraguay and about ten priests of the Vicariate.
The Betharramite brothers were also present, as well as a large number of faithful, including many collaborators in the schools and parishes of the Congregation in the country.
May Our Lady of Betharram and Saint Michael Garicoïts accompany the new deacon in the ministry that will be entrusted to him by the Congregation.
