Celebration of the Solemnity of Saint Joseph in Asunción
On March 19, in the Parish dedicated to the Saint Patron of the Church and the Congregation, Saint Joseph, the festivity was solemnly celebrated with a procession that began from the tower of the "Colegio San José”, presided over by Mgr. Ignacio Gogorza SCJ, Betharramite Bishop Emeritus of Encarnación, concelebrated by Mgr. Claudio Silvero SCJ, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Encarnación and the new parish priest, Fr. Crispín Villalba SCJ.
The participation of the faithful was numerous, especially with the presence of many former students of the College who are celebrating 60, 50 and 25 years of graduation.
Before the celebration, a historic event was held: the neighborhood where the school and the parish are located was dedicated to Saint Joseph.
Numerous residents and municipal authorities attended the event and Fr. Crispín and Mgr. Silvero blessed and consecrated the new “Barrio San José” to its saint patron.
