A New Beginning…
On October 10, in the magnificent setting of the Cathedral of Massa Marittima, filled with the faithful, the feast of Saint Cerbonius, patron saint of the Diocese of Massa Marittima-Piombino, was solemnly celebrated. The Holy Mass was presided over by Bishop Carlo Ciattini, Bishop of the Diocese, together with Bishop Bernardino Giordano of Grosseto.
This celebration marked the beginning of the pastoral ministry of Fr. Alessandro Locatelli, SCJ, and Fr. Pietro Villa, SCJ. Their ministry will take place within the Pastoral Unit of St. Augustine in Massa Marittima, thus opening a new chapter for the Congregation.
At the end of the celebration, the joyful atmosphere continued with a festive gathering at the Episcopal Palace, where clergy, authorities, and faithful shared a moment of fellowship and communion.
We entrust the beginnings of this new mission to Saint Michael Garicoïts, wishing Fr. Alessandro and Fr. Pietro a fruitful and grace-filled ministry.
