The Council of the Congregation begun

The Council of the Congregation, composed of the General Council and the Regional Superiors, has the task of “examines the general working of the Institute” and “the choices, which have been made at all levels in regard to their general objectives fixed by the Congregation in the Acts of its Chapters.” (Rule of Life 217; 217, d).

On the first day of work, the Council took time for a “narratio fidei" starting from a letter from Saint Michael Garicoïts on the role of the Superior.

Subsequently, Fr. Gustavo introduced the session by offering some points of attention which, starting from the decisions of the General Chapter, which was held on June in Chiang Mai, can translate into points of orientations for 2024.

The Regional Superiors then offered an overview of the life of the Regions.

The day was finished with the Eucharistic celebration, during which the three Regional Superiors made the Profession of Faith and the Oath of Fidelity before the Superior General.
