A well deserved break…
21 June - Recovered by their emotions and thanksgiving yesterday on the occasion of the election of the Superior General and the members of his Council, the Capitulars resumed the work of the XXVIII General Chapter this morning.
The Eucharist, celebrated on the feast of St. Aloysius Gonzaga and presided over by Fr. Graziano, marked the resumption of the work carried out by the various reflection groups to bring about modifications, precision and clarity.
The afternoon was dedicated to relaxation. A well-deserved relaxation after the very intense work rhythms of the past few days. Some have been to see Thai elephants: a walk in the forest and on the river in the company of elephants who have become real travel companions. The others went to meet the Buddhist monks: a visit to a magnificent Buddhist temple, exchanges with the monks and prayers of blessing for our brothers.
All this took place in a beautiful fraternal atmosphere.
We thanked the Lord again through the intercession of St. Aloysius Gonzaga in the Jesuit Chapel of the Seven Fountains.
Evening has come. A new day will come.
We lived the 18th day of our General Chapter in this land of Thailand.
