The Regional Superior Fr. Enrico Frigerio SCJ presented the candidates to the Bishop. While conferring the ministry upon the Betharramite deacons, the Bishop exhorted them to proclaim the Gospel with clarity, preach the homily with conviction, and assist at the altar with piety. He also invited the deacons to participate in the ministry of the Church i.e. to baptize, to witness and bless marriages, to preside at the Liturgy of the Hours, and to preside at funeral liturgies among many other duties. It was a moment of spiritual union by the presence of priests and brothers of the vicariate, family members of the deacons, invited priests and religious and companions of Betharram as they interceded for the deacons.

The Vicariate of India thanking the Lord through the intercession of our beloved Mother of Betharram and St. Michael our Founder Father for adding more beautiful branches in the vineyard of the Lord.
