Courtesy call to the Bishop of Chiang Mai
During the canonical visit to the Vicariate of Thailand, Fr. Gustavo Agín SCJ, the Superior General, Fr Enrico Frigerio SCJ, Regional Superior and Fr Chan Kunu SCJ, Vicar in Thailand, payed a courtesy call to the Bishop of Chiang Mai Mgr Francis Xavier Vira Arpondratana.
During the brief meeting, the bishop thanked Fr.Gustavo for the presence of the Betharram fathers who continue the ministry begun seventy years ago by the first Betharramite missionaries, who, expelled from China, evangelized the tribes in northern Thailand, laying the foundations of the current dioceses of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.
