Br. Jean-Claude Djiraud SCJ instituted Acolyte
Adiapodoumé 13 June, memory of Saint Anthony of Padua. During the Eucharistic Celebration, presided by Fr. Jean Luc Morin SCJ, Regional Superior, Br. Jean-Claude Djiraud SCJ was instituted Acolyte.
During the homily, Fr. Jean Luc, taking inspiration from the liturgy of the day and the life witness of Saint Anthony of Padua, urged everyone to remain faithful to the new commandment of Jesus of loving one another. Only in this way, he said, can we, following the example of Saint Anthony of Padua, generously put ourselves at the service of others. He concluded his homily by inviting Br. Jean Claude to become bearer of Christ, committing himself to making Christ - present in the Eucharist - known and loved through his service at the holy table.
Finally, Fr. Théophile Degny SCJ, Regional Vicar, took the opportunity to thank Fr. Jean Luc Morin, at the end of his canonical visit to the Vicariate of the Ivory Coast.
We wish Br. Jean-Claude a fruitful and joyful service.
