The Cardinal pays a visit to the Betharramite Parish of Bimbo (RCA)
On March 1, the first Sunday of Lent, the Cardinal of Bangui, Mgr. Dieudonné Nzapalainga, visited the new parish "Notre Dame de la Visitation" entrusted to the pastoral care of the Congregation.
Fr. Armel Daly SCJ (superior of the community) and Fr. Beniamino Gusmeroli SCJ (parish priest) gave him a very warm welcome.
Since the parish church has not been built yet, the celebration, very prayerful and well attended by the faithful, was held in front of one of the chapels,.
The new parish was created after the division of an already existing large parish in Bimbo: due to the political situation of these recent years, a large part of the population have left their villages and have settled in the outskirts of the capital, creating a densely populated area: many Christians of this region have been asking for a long time to create a new parish.
At the end of the celebration, the Cardinal met with some leaders of the groups that are active in the parish.
