«Although the call to go out in community to the different peripheries seems to be ‘on hold’ in this year of pandemic lockdown, we know that it is still there. Furthermore, today it has become more important than ever!
Indeed, Pope Francis has understood this and proposed it to the whole Church. He invites us as a society to reach out to the poor, to touch the wounds of abandoned humanity, to heal with gesture and word. The Vicar of Peter invites the Church to do the same thing that Jesus did: to feel compassion for everyone, to “become a neighbour”. Unafraid of defying present day shadows, we can be bearers of a love that becomes a Light.» (Fr Gustavo Agín SCJ)
